On Saturday morning I didn't feel all too good after Friday night. I woke up early to let Marlon out, and then straight back to bed to try and sleep it off a bit more.

A late lie in was in order. Then, FOOD.
I remembered seeing a Schwarma place by the Acacia mall, so a nice garlic treat it had to be. It was AMAZING. Served with a side of hand sanitiser.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my coca cola, and then decided what to do for the day.
I then walked down the main road to check out the Uganda Museum

It was a really nice day - reading about Ugandan history, Ugandan folklore, myths and legend, seeing some artefacts and a lot of traditional objects used by the different tribes of Uganda.
Then, when I was about halfway through the museum a HUGE storm hit.
Earlier that day I had been on the phone to Andre who had asked if I had experienced the torrential rains yet... and I, thinking the usual evening rain storms had been hard said yes, they're crazy.
BUT THIS WAS IT.
I have never before experienced such hard rain and such loud shuddering thunder. So I slowed down in the museum and took my time looking and reading through the rest.
Not going anywhere in this rain.
When the rain passed, I walked down the road in the opposite direction trying to get my bearings and get to know Kololo a bit better.

I walked past the Latitude chocolate factory which is owned by a friend of Grant, but decided I'd visit them another day... today was for exploring.
So I walked and I walked, I even saw the Alliance Française of Kampala, until I got hungry and turned to head back.

When I got back to the mall, I wondered if I should watch a movie to experience Ugandan cinemas, but the next movie was only in an hour and I wasn't sure about waiting around.
I decided to rather do some grocery shopping for the week and treated my late afternoon hangover with a nice & spicy KFC.
Yumm.

Heading home it started to sound and look like rain again, so in a rush I hurried home and had a wonderfully peaceful early night in, researching some places to stay for my upcoming trip to Jinja.
